I am a qualified supervisor and have fifteen years experience as a clinical supervisor for both individuals and groups. I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision of Counselling and Therapy from the University of Hertfordshire (2001).
I have worked as a supervisor in both the voluntary sector and the NHS as well as in private practice and have supervised both trainees and experienced practitioners from a variety of theoretical orientations. I offer supervision for both individuals and groups and have supervised counsellors in a range of settings: a domestic violence agency, an NHS clinic, a woman’s agency as well as students on diploma courses. I also run training courses for other counsellors on my areas of expertise.
I see supervision as a ‘creative place to think’ and a place of empathic support and occasional challenge for a therapist. The primary aim of supervision for me is to enable the therapist to better help the client.
£50 per hour for qualified counsellors and therapists. Negotiable fees for students on advanced diploma courses and the newly qualified.
As supervision is not usually weekly, I can be flexible in offering 90 minute slots if required.
Please contact me to discuss your particular supervisory requirements.
I am an experienced trainer and am used to delivering courses for students as well as for therapist CPD requirements. For example, I have trained others on attachment, loss of a pregnancy or child, the therapeutic process and endings. I am also available for consultation on governance, management, supervision and training issues for Boards and managers of Voluntary Sector Agencies.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss this further.
