Counselling Fees and Practical Information

Counselling Fees:

£50 per session for individuals.

£60 per session for couples.

There are a small number of concessionary rates available for those on low incomes.

Session Information:

A session for individuals lasts 50 minutes and one hour for couples.  Sessions normally take place at the same time and the same day each week.

At our initial session, you can tell me what is concerning you and you can also ask me questions about counselling and the way I work.    At this session we can decide whether it will be helpful for you to continue in therapy with me.    If you decide to you would like counselling with me we will then book some more sessions.   Therapy is a collaborative process and I offer regular reviews to help us assess the usefulness of the work to you.

Location:

I have a quiet and private room with ample parking space outside.  I am located near to the B4293 and easily accessible from Monmouth, Chepstow, Abergavenny, Usk, Newport, Coleford, Ross-on-Wye and Hereford.   A bus service between Monmouth and Chepstow stops close by and runs during the daytime in the week.

How long will it take?

That depends on your reasons for wanting therapy and what you hope to gain from it.   Some people only want a few sessions but generally people find it takes time to learn to use therapy and trust the therapeutic process.  Research shows that the best indicator of effective therapy is a good relationship between the therapist and the client.
