Why counselling with me?

As a therapist and counsellor for over twenty years, my initial qualification is a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire (1997).  I am a senior accredited and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.   My training is in a range of psychodynamic and humanistic theories but I work as an integrative counsellor.  This means that as different styles of counselling help different people, I draw on a variety of approaches to provide the best help for you in your situation.

Experience:

My busy private practice has been running for over twenty years and i have counselled many people with many different issues.  I also founded a low cost Voluntary Sector Counselling Agency in North London directing and developing it for over 15 years.  This agency works with children and young people as well as anyone who has lost a pregnancy, experienced the death of a baby or child as well as women and children who have experienced domestic violence.   I have many hours of counselling experience with adults, children, young people, couples and parents and babies.   I have worked in multi-agency settings particularly with domestic violence issues.    I regularly delivered training courses to other counsellors and have worked as a supervisor for many years of both individuals and groups.

I relocated to Monmouthshire in July 2012 and now run my counselling private practice here near to Monmouth in the Wye Valley.
